The Political Action Committee of the Memphis Branch NAACP and NAACP Youth Council will sponsor a Forum for the City of Memphis Candidates to be held:

Sunday, September 18, 2011

Mt. Olive CME Cathedral Church

538 Linden at Lauderdale

4:00 p.m.

Voter empowerment is a primary focus of the NAACP.  This can be accomplished through awareness of the issues, candidates and voting procedures.  The Memphis Branch strives to empower voters through voter registration, voter education opportunities; get out the vote efforts and election monitoring.  We want to be sure that everyone can VOTE and VOTE EARLY for the candidate of your choice in a free election.  The NAACP is non-partisan and does not endorse candidates.  All candidates have been invited to make a presentation and answer questions from the audience.

The meeting is open to the public.
