Tarik Black Foundation
Crime and youth violence is a major problem in American cities. Memphis is no exception. Through transformational experiences, the foundation of former NBA player and Memphis native seeks to alter the course of many area teen’s lives.
In 2017, the Carter Malone Group LLC managed the Tarik Black Foundation’s launch. Our team also introduced impression-leaving events to the Mid-south, like the ex-Laker’s Transformation50 Basketball and Life Skills camp.
We also created www.TarikBlackFoundation.org, social media platforms and collateral material for the foundation.

Transformation50 Basketball and Life Skills Camp
Over 50 area coaches showed up at a news conference to recommend team members for the camp. The coverage helped the camp secure 90 percent participation. Awareness of the foundation also increased.
Building a Foundation
Along with public relations for the foundation’s launch, the CMG team created the www.TarikBlackFoundation.org, social media platforms and collateral material for the foundation.
