Coach Larry Porter, Panel of Urologists and daVinci Robot will “encourage” men to take care of their health.

Saint Francis Hospital-Memphis is sponsoring a free men’s prostate health event – PLAY HARD….. LIVE WELL, on Tuesday, September 20th at 6:00 pm.  September is National Prostate Cancer Awareness Month, and the hospital is joining in a national public awareness campaign to promote The American Urological Association’s Prostate Cancer Screening Guidelines, encouraging all men, age 40 and older to get a baseline PSA, and talk with their doctors about their prostate health.

Free PSA screenings will be offered.  Coach Larry Porter, of the University of Memphis Tiger’s football team, will open the event, reminding men to take care of their bodies. A panel of urologists – Van Bingham, MD, Walter Rayford, MD, and William “Rusty” Shappley, III, MD, will speak on symptoms and treatment option for prostate cancer.  Rev. Kenneth S. Robinson, MD, Health Advisor to Mayor Luttrell, will moderate the session.

The participants will have an opportunity to “meet and greet” the new da Vinci SI robotic system. Tailgate munchies and sweets will be served.
