The city of Memphis Division of Planning and Development is hosting a community-wide meeting at Whitehaven High School on March 21, from 5:30 p.m. – 7:30 p.m., to share with community stakeholders (business leaders, community leaders and residents) in the Memphis Aerotropolis study area the Master Plan that is being developed for future development and reinvestment, which could transform Memphis into a more competitive, logistics and distribution center of commerce that will benefit the entire Mid-South Region.

The meeting is scheduled to inform the public on the progress and strategies of the Master Plan, including discussions, suggestions and points made by community stakeholders during several listening tours within the Aerotropolis study area. The Aerotropolis team will share the vision and strategies that will be used after the Master Plan is complete and during the implementation process. The public is invited to attend this community-wide meeting.

About Memphis Aerotropolis

The City of Memphis and the Division of Planning and Development and the U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development (HUD) have partnered through a HUD Community Challenge Grant Program to fund a comprehensive Master Plan and Real Estate Market Analysis for Memphis Aerotropolis. Memphis has hired RTKL of Los Angeles, CA to create the Master Plan and MXD Strategists of British Columbia, Canada to create the Real Estate Market Analysis. Representatives from both firms will be in attendance at the listening tour meetings. Each firm has hired local subcontractors to assist with these projects.
